Well, I am still on track with my mind and body transformation. I want to enjoy this transformation and don't want to rush the process, so this journey will take 12-months to complete. For the month of January I decided to read a childhood favorite book by Larine Hansberry.
In addition, I increased my exercise, from a 30-minute brisk walk to a brisk 60-minute walk per day five days a week. I walk 30-miuntes as soon as I get out of bed. Then walk 15-minutes before lunch and dinner. This makes my exercise program simple. I am not getting on the scale or using a tape measuring. Instead, I want to be as healthy as possible and feel good every day.
Through this journey, I discovered besides eating organic foods; the times I eat have a good deal to do with good health. to experts, the morning hours the body is in the elimination process. Therefore, I eat light until 12-noon; if not, the body will get tired because the liver is being over worked. I want to work with my body and not against it. From Noon to 7 at night I eat desired foods, but I stay away from starchy carbohydrates.
This week, I added mashed cauliflower, instead of having starchy mashed potatoes, and a raw beet smoothie. For a snack, I eat raw walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and almonds and I drink as much water as possible. No, I have not given up desserts; I have one healthy dessert every day.
